Business & Industrial
Residential
WiMeter saves you money by helping identify energy wasting machinery and proactively monitoring the health of your equipment, minimizes the downtime, and gives you a full picture of energy footprint of your entire facility.
WiMeter saves you money by helping detect energy wasters, and monitors the health and power consumption of every electrical consumer in your residence.
Business & Industrial
WiMeter sends you mobile, desktop, SMS and e-mail alerts about equipment malfunction, thus preventing equipment failure and saving you money.
The WiMeter data is easily accessible on your mobile device or a web app. You can share any of your devices with other people such as service technicians, who will be made aware about malfunctions of your equipment.
WiMeter installs on any circuit breaker panel or a splitter box and constantly monitors the power consumption of your 1-phase and 3-phase electrical equipment. It also reads up to 4 temperature sensors.
Know Your Equipment Running Cost
WiMeter gives you the electricity cost of each piece of your equipment. You get accurate consumption in dollars or watt-hours, for any period of time.
WiMeter knows your electricity rates. It accounts for the weekends and holidays when working with the time-of-use rates.
Note: WiMeter does not calculate the delivery, regulatory and other charges that may appear on your electricity bill.

Proactive Health Monitoring of Your Equipment Using High-Resolution Real-Time Data
You can proactively fix a problem before it turns into an expensive downtime and a high repair cost. Equipment failures are always preceded with the changes in their power consumption profile. WiMeter can predict malfunctions by closely analyzing the real-time high-resolution data from all of its 28 channels.

The combined graph on this screenshot has all consumers stacked up. Note how the Small Compressor (blue graph) is going through a power cycle while the Big Compressor (brown graph) is drawing a constant power? By analyzing the power profiles of the consumers, Wi-Meter will be able to detect abnormalities in the power consumption pattern and give you an early warning about possible problems.
Detect Your Power Wasters
A quick glance at the combined graph and the single consumer graphs allows you to see which devices consume the most power and at what times, which ones are wasting a lot of electricity in an idle mode and should be turned off when not in use.
Temperature Monitoring of Your Critical Systems
Prevent your equipment downtime by monitoring temperature of the critical systems around the clock and get alerts in case of abnormalities. WiMeter can read up to 4 wired temperature sensors with a 0.1°C accuracy over -50...+125°C range. Use the sensors on motors, radiators, refrigerators, A/C compressor coils, water and oil lines, air ducts, etc.

The graph on this picture shows the 24-hour radiator temperature of a Kaeser Airtower 19 air compressor during a cold time (winter). In the summer, the temperature may go over 75°C and the compressor will automatically shut down. Wi-Meter alerts the owner when the temperature is close to critical, thus avoiding an expensive downtime of an entire facility.

The system works in °F and °C.
Residential
WiMeter can send you mobile and desktop alerts about your house equipment malfunction by analyzing the power profile of each consumer and reading temperature of up to 4 sensors, thus preventing equipment failures and emergency repairs. Smart alerts can be set up to warn you about potentially dangerous situations such as circuit overloads.
The WiMeter data is easily accessible on your mobile device or a web app. You can share any of your devices with your family or with the technicians who service your furnace, A/C and the water heater, so they could receive the same alerts as you, and see the shared data.
WiMeter installs on the circuit breaker panel in your house or apartment and constantly monitors the power consumption of your appliances and all other electric consumers. It can also monitor the "health" of your central air conditioner, furnace, and a hot water tank by analyzing sensor data. It delivers precise measurements immediately after installation, there is no "learning period" required.
Reduce Energy Bills
WiMeter gives you an in-depth view at the electricity cost for all major consumers in your home. Because it's measuring the current on each individual circuit of your breaker panel, it knows exactly how much each one consumes. You get accurate consumption in kWh or in dollars, for any period of time. It delivers measurements immediately upon installation, there is no "learning period" required.
WiMeter knows the electricity rates in your state or province and it will apply them automatically. It accounts for the weekends and holidays when working with the time-of-use rates. If your utility provider has different rates, you can simply edit them, along with the rate start times.
Monitor Your Electric Plug-in
WiMeter gives you a complete picture of the energy usage of your plug-in electric car. You can see the real-time power consumption profile, usage per hour, day, month, or any custom period of time, in kilowatt-hours or in dollars. If you charge your car at multiple locations, for example, at your home and work, you can combine readings from several WiMeters into one "system", like on this example here (system called My Cadillac).

Monitor Your HVAC System Health
WiMeter can keep an eye on the health of your HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) and your hot water tank, by monitoring the temperature in the air ducts before and after the furnace (A/C), and of the output pipe of your water heater. Combined with the power readings, this information is enough to early detect the upcoming failure.

This graphs shows the air temperature before and after the furnace. A well-functioning furnace should be able to increase the air temperature by a certain number of degrees at a certain rate, which is represented by the slope and height of the "shark fins".
An air conditioner creates the reverse "shark fins" pointing down. Their slope and the temperature gradient can tell if the A/C is functioning well. We are working on the feature that will use the machine learning to analyse the the temperature and power profiles of the A/C and the furnace, and alert the owner of a possible malfunction before it turns into a major breakdown.

You can share the A/C and the furnace data with your equipment service company, so they will get alerted too. It's much cheaper to fix a small problem than to deal with emergency repairs when your A/C goes down on a hot sunny day.

A temperature sensor attached to the hot water pipe on your water heater allows WiMeter not only to plot these graphs, but also to alert you when the water temperature drops too low or gets too high, which means your water heater needs fixing or when someone has used too much hot water.

You can also attach a temperature sensor to the water main in your home or cottage, and set up alerts to prevent freezing of the pipes.

One Wi-Meter device can currently support 4 temperature sensors, winch can be connected in series.
You can see how efficient your appliances, lights and other electric devices are, by checking their power consumption profiles in Wi-Meter.

For example, this graph for the home gas furnace clearly shows that it's a high-efficiency device, because it has 3 motor speeds, drawing a lot less power (139W) when it's just recirculating air and not heating. A low-efficiency furnace would have only one speed, and would constantly draw as much as 600-700W.

High-Resolution Real-Time Data
WiMeter shows you the high-resolution real-time data from the main electrical consumers in your home.

The combined graph on this screenshot has all consumers stacked up. See those sequentially repeating spikes? That's the signature of a coffee machine, which keeps the water tank hot. It's sitting on the Kitchen Plugs consumer (magenta).
Easy Installation
WiMeter can be installed on any indoor electrical box, on a 3-pole and 2-pole circuit breaker box, spiltter box, and even inside electrical equipment.

It will take no longer than 30 minutes to install and configure WiMeter from an electrician. You will need a standard AC outlet near the breaker panel where it will be installed. Use an iPhone or an iPad to configure your WiMeter. Our Android app is still under development.

The installation is non-invasive. All you need to do is to clamp the sensors, called Current Transformers, or CTs, over the insulated wires. All our CTs are UL certified.

As you can see, the WiMeter wiring inside an electrical panel can be done very neatly. It practically takes no space inside it.

By using very compact Current Transformers, we are able to eliminate a wiring mess that is inevitable with larger CTs. You can use these miniature sensors on any wires that carry under 40 Amps.

Did we mention that Wi-Meter works with any electrical panel with voltages up to 600V? That makes it the most versatile electricity monitor on the market, worldwide. All our CTs are UL listed for up to 600V applications.
